The job plan will comprise of main theatre operating, day case lists and outpatient clinics at the York site as well as new patient clinics at Malton. The consultant urologists are supported by two specialist registrars, one specialty doctor and a team of urology nurse practitioners and cancer nurse specialists.

All consultants, specialty doctors, specialist registrars and nurse practitioners work at Malton on a regular basis.

The department has close links with Hull and York Medical School (HYMS) offering interested candidates opportunities for undergraduate teaching or the development of management roles within the medical school. Candidates must have a higher medical qualification. A familiarity with issues of service organisation and development would be particularly advantageous.
