Together, they ensure that our approximately 120,000 outpatient and 60,000 in-patient patients are cared for professionally and competently around the clock every year. As a modern home of maximum care and a DKG-certified oncological center, more than 1,150 beds and 30 specialist departments are available, which together offer almost the entire spectrum of medical services.In addition to the mixed wards with a total of 60 beds, the Dermatology Clinic at the Helios Klinikum Krefeld also has 16 day-hospital beds for outpatient surgery and pre- and post-hospital care and guarantees the entire spectrum of modern diagnostics and treatment of diseases of the skin and mucous membranes close to the skin. The main areas of expertise as a certified skin cancer center include the treatment of skin tumors (dermatooncology), surgical procedures for skin diseases (dermatosurgery) as well as the treatment of wounds and allergic skin diseases. All current diagnostic procedures including histology and molecular biology are available. The histological evaluation and diagnosis is carried out by our own qualified dermatologist.
