The Helios Klinikum Uelzen GmbH is an academic teaching hospital of the Hannover Medical School and, with about 750 employees, provides around 17,000 inpatients and 25,000 outpatients annually with excellent medical and nursing quality. As a hospital of specialist care with around 340 beds and twelve specialist departments, the hospital ensures the care of patients regionally and nationally. The clinic operates a total of eight operating theaters, an interdisciplinary intensive care and IMC ward, a monitoring and telemetry ward and an emergency room equipped with a central monitoring system. In addition, the ambulance vehicle and a rescue helicopter are stationed at the hospital.

The treatment spectrum of the Department of Orthopedics, Trauma, Hand and Reconstructive Surgery with about 50 beds includes outpatient and inpatient, conservative and surgical treatment of soft tissue injuries, injuries of the musculo-tendon apparatus and joints, the pelvis and the spine. Special importance is attached to endoprosthetics of the hip and knee joint as well as to spine surgery. Per year about 2,000 inpatients are being treated. The department is certified to the regional Trauma Center. An admission to the inpatient D-physician procedure exists, the admission to the injury-type procedure is short-term goal. The medical-technical equipment meets the requirements of a modern accident surgery department.

The entire department is increasingly interlinked with the Helios MVZ Uelzen / Veerßen so that we can look after a larger proportion of patients on an outpatient basis. We maintain a very collegial cooperation with the colleagues there.

Close cooperation with the chief physician

Representation of the chief physician

Interdisciplinary design of everyday hospital life

Responsibility in the management team of the clinic

Care of patients in trauma surgery and orthopedics in the context of interdisciplinary cooperation in accordance with current professional standards

Support of the medical team in further versatile tasks in the operating room and on the ward

Cooperative cooperation with all departments of the house and the established doctors

Representation of the department of the clinic inside and outside

Accompanying the necessary office hours for health insurance patients and especially BG patients

Motivation of the employees through individual, needs-based support

Optimization of work processes and organizational forms

Participation in in-house and external further education
