The Helios Dr. Horst Schmidt Clinics Wiesbaden are a hospital of the state capital of Wiesbaden and the Helios Kliniken Group, as well as Academic Teaching Hospital of the University Medical Center of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. As the maximum provider of 25 clinics and 5 institutes, the Helios HSK with approximately 1,000 beds supply more than 45,000 inpatients and more than 100,000 outpatients. In addition, the Helios HSK are one of the seven coordination centers for oncology in the state of Hesse.

Hospital Director (m / w / d) for urology and pediatric urology    

The Department of Urology and Pediatric Urology annually treats 2,000 inpatients and around 3,700 outpatients. Here, the complete range of therapies from minimally invasive surgery to maximum surgical procedures other than kidney transplantation is shown. The clinic has operating rooms for open, laparoscopic and transurethral procedures as well as a modern X-ray operation room for endourological procedures in combination with an ESWL machine. A robot-assisted surgical system is in the planning stage. The modern new building of Helios Dr. Horst Schmidt Kliniken will be completed in 2021.

The main focus of the urological clinic are: operative uro-oncology with functional and organ preservation, reconstructive urology, the entire spectrum of urinary stone therapy, transurethral resection techniques including laser therapy and pediatric urology. Superselective radiological interventions on the kidney and prostate and the treatment of urinary incontinence in the certified continence center are carried out in interdisciplinary cooperation. The following additional further training courses are offered: Drug-based tumor therapy, urological x-ray of the urinary tract, andrology. There is a cross-sectoral cooperation with more than 20 resident urologists.

Your tasks

It is up to you to ensure the operational procedure as well as the medical quality with the specialist departments as well as the external cooperation partners. You assume responsibility for the innovative development of diagnostics and treatment as well as for continuous quality improvement.

Your profile

You are a specialist in urology and have extensive knowledge in your area of ??expertise as a prerequisite for full training. A habilitation is desired. In addition to your high professional qualifications and sound clinical-practical experience, especially as a surgeon with robot-assisted systems (DaVinci), you have a pronounced social competence in dealing with all professional groups and in cooperation with the participating specialist clinics as well as with patients and physicians in private practice. Outstanding communication skills, a high sense of responsibility, commitment and assertiveness as well as a high level of organizational skills characterize you. We expect empathy and strategic thinking from you.
