

Consultant Haematologist

Job description
This is a replacement Consultant Haematologist post in the Clinical Haematology Department at Trafford General Hospital which has arisen due to the retirement of Dr Patrick Carrington.
The directorate of Clinical Haematology is part of the Division of Specialist Medical Services. The post holder will work as part of the general haematology and haemato-oncology team at the Trafford General Hospital and Manchester Royal Infirmary sites.
The post holder will work closely with the other members of the haematology team at the Trafford site (Dr Rachel Brown and Dr Chiara Lobetti) and the haemato-oncology team at Manchester Royal Infirmary (Dr Alberto Rocci and Dr Jane Norman).
The post-holder will also provide on-call provision for general haematology for Manchester Royal Infirmary and Wythenshawe sites.
This is a 10 PA job plan. Any Consultant who is unable for personal reasons to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for the post. If such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the Trust.
