Summary Description

Columbia University’s Department of Medicine invites applications for a tenure track position at the assistant, associate or professor level. M.D., Ph.D. or professional degree and a strong record of research and publication required. Candidates will be expected to sustain an active research and publication agenda and teach in the College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Minimum Degree Required

M.D., Ph.D. or professional doctoral degree.

Minimum Qualifications

All candidates must show promise for future development. Candidates must also have strong publishing and teaching future and some measure of academic/research or teaching independence from mentor.

Rank will be determined by record of scholarly, research and teaching achievement and show great promise of attaining distinction or secured distinction in their fields of specialization.

Preferred Qualifications

Depending on the field of research and current needs for field and instructional coverage within the department, certain subspecialties may be preferred.
