Position Description

The Division of Cardiology, University of Washington Department of Medicine, School of Medicine is seeking a full time interventional cardiologist to join our Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) Program. This individual will be primarily charged with providing interventional services to ACHD patients at UW Medical Center, a secondary responsibility will be to attend on the ACHD service and participate in call.

The successful applicant will be expected to build relationships with emergency medical organizations. 

The successful applicant would be appointed to the full-time faculty at the University of Washington at the Assistant Professor level (without tenure due to funding).  This position has an annual service period of 12 months (July 1 – June 30).  Anticipated start date is February 1, 2020. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.

Qualifications

Applicants should have an MD degree (or foreign equivalent) and be board certified/eligible in cardiovascular diseases, adult congenital disease and interventional cardiology (or foreign equivalent). In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
