Getting started as ANIOS Geriatrics

As Anios for the Geriatrics care unit you will mainly work in the Geriatrics department (11-14 beds) and possibly in the Geriatrics outpatient clinic. You work with the multidisciplinary Geriatrics team and you work under the supervision of a clinical geriatrician.

In this position you take care of the clinically admitted patients. You provide admissions to the ward or emergency department. You monitor the daily patients with the nurse and you participate in the large visit / MDO.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive doctor who would like to delve deeper into geriatrics. This work experience is also interesting for colleagues who want to delve deeply into geriatric medicine in preparation for another specialization, such as general practitioner medicine or geriatric medicine.

Our Geriatrics department

On the south bank of Rotterdam-Rijnmond, care is provided for a multicultural, socially varied and aging population. This is done by the Geriatrics department at Maasstad Hospital, Spijkenisse Medical Center, Ikazia Hospital and Van Weel Bethesda Hospital. 

The rapidly growing geriatric care is provided by a department consisting of 11 geriatricians, who are jointly responsible for the care in hospitals, but also for a network around the hospitals and between the hospitals. There is an increasing need, but also a desire, for an even better implementation of outpatient and clinical care for the geriatric patient. 

The network is designed from Maasstad Hospital. Maasstad Hospital is a top clinical hospital in Rotterdam South that has 600 beds and is constantly on the move.

The Geriatrics department is developing into an acute admission department for vulnerable elderly people with a top regional clinical function. At the moment there is a training period for specialist geriatric medicine and there are co-assistants working there. There is an ambition to shape the clinical geriatric training with the Erasmus MC. 

What does Maasstad Hospital offer you?

• Salary is in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement for Hospitals (FWG 65).
• An appointment for 1 year with the possibility of an extension.
• An excellent preparation for a specialist follow-up training.
• An average working week of approximately 38 hours (with 10 teaching hours in addition).

Salary

• Salary in accordance with CLA Hospitals (FWG 65)
• Minimum of € 3,490 per month
• Maximum of € 5,257 per month

Het Maasstad Ziekenhuis is een topklinisch opleidingsziekenhuis - met 600 bedden - in Rotterdam-Zuid. Jaarlijks bezoeken meer dan 450.000 patiënten de poliklinieken.
