Specialty Doctor - Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Job description

The Obstetrics and Gynaecology department is a key aspect of the Women and Children’s Clinical Business Unit and is increasingly important to the hospital as a whole. The department specialises in several different Gynaecology services such as;

• Uro-Gynaecology

• Urodynamics

• Percutaneous Tibial Nerve Stimulation (PTNS)

• Post-menopausal bleeding

• Colposcopy

• Ambulatory Hysteroscopy

• Nurse led vaginal prolapse/Pessary Clinic

• EPAU

This post will provide excellent clinical experience, with an opportunity for personal development. The post attracts 12 PA’s and forms part of a 1:8 doctor full shift rota, with the candidate having experience being second on-call rota.
