Trust Doctor in General Surgery (ST3)

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the dynamic General Surgery team which consists of 12 consultant surgeons, 8 Specialty Doctors, 4 SpRs, 3 FY2 doctors, 3 CT doctors, 2 Trust Doctors and 6 FY1 doctors.

As the 6th biggest Trust in the UK with university and foundation status, we are looking for a Trust Doctor (ST3) to join our surgical team. The Directorate of General Surgery has an opportunity for a fixed term post until 1st October 2019.

The successful applicant will be joining a well-established unit and will have the opportunity to develop and enhance their skills within theatre and outpatient services.

East Kent is an attractive part of the country with areas of unspoilt countryside, beaches and the City of Canterbury, an ecclesiastical and business centre with the University of Kent and towns of Ashford and Margate.There are excellent schools, both state and private.There are regular train services to London with the M2 and M20 motorways providing easy access to the capital.The continent is within easy reach through the Channel Ports and Channel Tunnel. There are outstanding sports facilities.
