Job description

The Department of Clinical Gerontology at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH), a division of Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, is looking for enthusiastic and committed physicians with a passion for patient centred, fully integrated Gerontology care to join our friendly forward looking team.

The posts provide an exciting range of opportunities, from Acute Frailty to Community Outreach, Orthogeriatrics and Surgical Liaison. Applicants will have the choice of sub-specialty. This includes working across the Acute Frailty Unit on the PRUH site and the new Community Facing Frailty Wards at Orpington Hospital, Movement Disorder, Falls clinics and Dementia services. Other specialist areas of interest within Geriatrics are encouraged and can be discussed on application. The post holders will work closely with colleagues in ED, Acute Medicine and will be involved in the unselected GIM take.

There will be many opportunities to help develop clinical pathways within acute care as well as in the community including GP liaison systems and multidisciplinary team working to provide excellent patient-centred care. Additional PAs are available for educational, governance or lead roles.
