Consultant Physicians in Clinical Gerontology
At King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
The Department of Clinical Gerontology at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH), a division of Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, is looking for enthusiastic and committed physicians with a passion for patient centred, fully integrated Gerontology care to join our friendly forward looking team.
The posts provide an exciting range of opportunities, from Acute Frailty to Community Outreach, Orthogeriatrics and Surgical Liaison. Applicants will have the choice of sub-specialty. This includes working across the Acute Frailty Unit on the PRUH site and the new Community Facing Frailty Wards at Orpington Hospital, Movement Disorder, Falls clinics and Dementia services. Other specialist areas of interest within Geriatrics are encouraged and can be discussed on application. The post holders will work closely with colleagues in ED, Acute Medicine and will be involved in the unselected GIM take.
There will be many opportunities to help develop clinical pathways within acute care as well as in the community including GP liaison systems and multidisciplinary team working to provide excellent patient-centred care. Additional PAs are available for educational, governance or lead roles.
The Princess Royal University Hospital and Orpington Hospital are close to Bromley and Orpington town centres which have fast rail links to central London (18-minute journey) in addition to being only 20 minutes’ drive from the M25. The leafy suburban location is a great place to live and work.
Applications for job sharing are welcome. We welcome informal visits.
