Consultant Occupational Health Physician

We have an exciting opportunity for an Consultant Occupational Health Physician to work closely with our existing part time Consultant in a key role to provide both clinical and professional support/leadership across the multi-disciplinary occupational health team and to be an expert senior professional integral to the organisationwithin the Health Safety and Wellbeing Service.

The Occupational Health service has been accredited with SEQOHS since 2012. Expansion of the multi-disciplinary team is an integral part of our goal. This is an exciting time in our on-going development. We are committed to improving the health and wellbeing of our workforce, to which the Health Safety and Wellbeing Service has a huge opportunity to both influence and be involved in, with a strong focus on the development of early intervention and advice.

We are looking for someone who is motivated, enthusiastic and innovative, and willing to champion a team approach to the development of our service.

The Health Safety and Wellbeing Service provides a comprehensive range of services for around 18,000 employees across Portsmouth Hospitals Trust, and several external customers. The post will be based at Queen Alexandra Hospital.

The successful applicant should possess MFOM/FFOM (or equivalent) and should be included on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview, if currently within a training programme within the UK. In accordance with the consultant appointment regulations, all other categories of doctors must be on the Specialist Register.

Applicants should have established skills in Occupational Medicine. A strong commitment to clinical supervision is key.
