Here at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, we’re experiencing increasing demand for imaging, so we’re growing both our team and our technology. The radiology department within Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital is one of the largest in the country. Not only are the services and facilities expanding all the time on the main site, we are shortly to provide paediatric radiology services to the U.K.s first proton beam therapy service at The Christie hospital, 2 miles down the road. This is your chance to help develop world-class services within an expanding and successful trust.

Take this role, and you will join a team of paediatric radiologists working closely within multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive and innovative care to our patients and their families. Working with pride, respect and empathy, you’ll be supported to develop sub-specialist interests and expand the services within the directorate.

Paediatric Radiology at MFT is a professorial unit headed up by Professor Stavros Stivaros. We offer a unique opportunity for research development in PET MR and other imaging techniques backed by close links with the University of Manchester through Manchester Academic Health Science Centre MAHSC.

Considerate and compassionate in your approach, with a commitment to maintaining the dignity of our patients, you will have excellent communication skills. Willing to take part in our New Consultant Development Programme, you will be fully registered with the GMC, with Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists or equivalent and on the specialist register of the RCR.

From 1st October 2017, Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) and the University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust (UHSM) has joined together to create a new Foundation Trust which has been named Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
